This project represents a significant step forward in providing a modern, inclusive, and supportive learning environment tailored to the needs of every student. The c.6300m² special school building will deliver 25no. state of the art classrooms and supporting facilities in a 2-storey split level design with excellent external amenity areas that integrate the new school into the landscape.

For the school community this is more than bricks and mortar — it’s about creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can feel supported, valued, and inspired.

As architects, we’re proud to see our vision move from drawings into reality, and we look forward to collaborating with the wider project team to deliver a space that will empower and inspire generations to come.

The sod was officially turned by Táiniste Simon Harris TD, Minister for Finance, Emer Higgins TD, Minister of State with responsibility for Disability alongside Clare Carr, Principal of St. Catherine’s Special School, students from St. Catherine’s Special School and representatives of St. Catherine’s Association.
