The TUD Sport Science & Health Building project was successfully completed and handed over in February 2023.

The project consists of a 3,175m2 two storey Sport Science and Health building which includes a multi-purpose sports hall, laboratories, teaching accommodation and changing rooms, to facilitate a variety of indoor sports at club and premier level and teaching of sport science and health courses.

The landscape design includes a quadrangle located to the east of the existing main building in accordance with the campus masterplan and allows development of future buildings around this space.

The building is fully reliant on the use of district heating, using heat provided by a local data centre, and is the first new building in the Tallaght Town Centre area to use this supply.
