Project Overview

Beechgrove successfully integrates a substantial development of 51 new A2 rated homes within the setting of protected structures, a manor house and outbuildings, and its sylvan site character with the retention of existing trees and landscaping. The manor house and outbuildings were in fire derelict condition, now fully renovated to provide 6 B1 rated homes, with new natural slate roofs, lime harling wall finish, replacement windows, internal thermal lime plaster, fitout, and services.

The development layout has been designed to maximise efficiency and take advantage of the site’s features and edge of town setting, maintaining the manor house as a centre piece.

Good quality streetscapes have been carefully considered to provide building frontage that overlooks the scenic public open spaces. The primary and secondary spaces are interconnected with pedestrian routes.

The houses are predominantly two storey units with family orientated internal spaces. They are arranged in compact clusters with steep pitched roofs to provide a design that is in keeping with its rural and heritage surroundings.
