Project Overview

The project involved a 2,910sqm standalone extension to Ardee Community School increasing the student capacity to around 900 pupils. The new building replaces existing prefabs to the west of the main school building, and includes a Special Needs Unit.

The project also included extensive renovations to the existing 6,200sqm building carried out to a very tight programme over mid-term and summer holiday periods.

The new building addresses the existing full size GAA pitch and gives the school a new presence and improved identity seen from the public road. The design includes new entrances, road layout, safe set-down and car parking. The project is on site, and due for completion in 06/2018.
