Last month, we launched the COADY Sustainability Charter, setting out our key sustainability commitments for 2025. Each month, we’re diving into a different impact indicator, starting with Embodied Carbon.

🏗️ Why it matters: Nearly half of a building’s total carbon emissions can come from materials, construction, and end-of-life processes. Tackling this at the design stage is critical to reducing our environmental impact.

✔️ Reducing upfront carbon in every project
✔️ Prioritising low-carbon materials and circular design
✔️ Tracking and benchmarking embodied carbon for smarter decision-making

To drive this forward, all senior management at COADY are upskilling through Embodied Carbon 101 training, ensuring we embed best practices across our projects.
