COADY Architects Announce Management Changes and a New Large Scale Commission

COADY Architects is delighted to announce a number of new developments within the Company, including our latest large scale commission and changes in the management team to consolidate our position as one of Ireland’s leading architectural practices.

Mark McCann is our new Managing Director

Mark McCann has taken up the reins at the start of his term as Managing Director of Coady Architects. Building on the achievements of the practice to date and strong growth in recent years, Mark’s vision is to continue the development of design excellence and quality of service that Coady Architects’ reputation is built on. His aim is to grow the value we bring to our clients through the specialist expertise of our teams in the residential, office, healthcare and education sectors. Anne Fletcher, having completed her term as Managing Director, will continue as a Director leading a growing team of designers, while also focusing on our international portfolio.

Donal O’Donohue appointed a Director

Donal O’Donohue has been a major contributor to the success of the practice, including 10 years as Project Lead and 3 years as Associate Director. Donal’s appointment to the Board brings new energy and key strengths in team leadership and mentoring, technical outputs and design review. He has a wealth of experience in the healthcare, residential and education sectors and currently leads the delivery of the National Children’s Hospital Satellite Centre Projects in Tallaght and Connolly Hospitals with our Partners HLM Architects.

New Associates – Sarah Brophy and John Hennigan

Sarah Brophy and John Hennigan have been appointed Associates. Sarah has been heavily involved in both Design & Build and PPP project procurement for both education and healthcare projects over the past number of years and is currently leading the construction of two Primary Care Centres in Coolock and Limerick. John has been instrumental in the delivery of a new Clinical Education and Research Centre as a joint project for the HSE and the University of Limerick in Limerick Hospital, and has a lead role of four Primary Care projects, as part of the PPP Programme in Tuam and Ballinrobe. He now heads up our expanding Galway office. Sarah and John bring our team of Associates to 8 providing a strong support to our team of Directors.

New Commission – NDFA Social Housing Project

COADY Architects, in collaboration with Sean Harrington Architects, has recently been awarded a major commission by the National Development Finance Agency for the delivery of a significant number of homes to be constructed in County’s Dublin, Wicklow, Louth, and Kildare. The project, developed as one of a number of Government initiatives in response to the current housing shortage, comprises in excess of 500 housing units, located across six sites and will be procured through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) process. COADY Architects is delighted to have been selected for this exciting new project.
