Climate Challenge Day at Airfield Estate with ~70 in attendance.

Taking place on January 27th, the full day spanned presentations on RIAI Climate Challenge 2030, Sustainable Design Strategies on past projects, ISO 14001, Green Certification and our R&D focus.

Our recent R&D focus includes Retrofit, LCAs and Biodiversity in collaboration with key industry drivers for change including Irish Green Building Council, Technological University Dublin, University College Dublin, KORE Insulation, Cygnum Building Offsite and IES Ltd. Surveys and a quiz formed part of the agenda.

The outcome of the day will drive our COADY Architects Sustainability Charter and Roadmap. Speakers included Jim Coady on practice origins and the importance of being at the forefront of sustainable strategies. Joseph Little of Technological University Dublin placing circularity, measurement and upskilling at the core of the change required and Chris Croly from BDP (Building Design Partnership Ltd) driving key M&E sustainable indicators on schools and offices especially, the need for tailored service solution to specific loadings.
