57 dwellings in Beechgrove, Clonakilty, in a wonderful sylvan setting have been handed over to Cork County Council, including the refurbishment of an existing Manor House.

Cork County Council has recently handed over keys to 57 new homes in Beechgrove. The development site is characterised by protected structures, a manor house and outbuildings, and extensive mature trees.

The manor house and outbuildings were in derelict condition, now fully renovated to provide 6 new homes, with new natural slate roof, lime harling wall finish, replacement windows and new internal fitout and services.

The development layout has been designed to maximise efficiency and take advantage of the site’s features and edge of town setting, maintaining the manor house as a centre piece. Good quality streetscapes have been carefully considered to provide building frontage that overlooks the scenic public open spaces.

The houses are predominantly two storey units with family orientated internal spaces.
